Middle Branch, Ontonagon River

Managed to be the first (unlucky) person to hammer a snowshoe path the the bottom of Bond Falls on the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River. The rest of the afternoon was spent in shoveling snow off the roof of the the family room addition on Rauhallinen Farm, as well as the roof of the woodshed. The barn, having a metal roof, shed all the snow on both sides in a mammoth explosion. My 4x8 utility trailer was a victim and is now officially bured until May,,,This brief two day melt is predicted to be followed by another week of lake effect blizzard and low temps. No rest for the wicked.
