Bond Falls, Middle Branch, Ontonagon River

A cold but beautiful evening in the Western UP, with the promise of 30 degree temps on Sunday. Walking out to fill the woodboiler, the near full moon and stars present a surreal and mesmerizing skyscape. Almost a week without snow seems like a gift. With two broken ribs and one contusion, I need a rest. Going out to help my dear friends Tom and Sharon install their wood boiler on Saturday and then hunting the muzzleloader season for White-Tailed Deer in one of their luxury deer blinds near the Jumbo River (Trout Creek). Off to a well welcomed but full scheduled Friday and a long awaited weekend. Planning on one of my annual winter photographic excursions to the Keweenaw Peninsula on Sunday.  Snowshoes, but no reservation required...
