Snowshoeing the Range (Wolverine Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Trails)

Ended the Thanksgiving break on a sour note by slipping on ice in the barn and falling on top of the snowblower (carrying a boxed ice shanty). Fractured three ribs and knocked the wind out of me. Breathing, coughing, and any bending are onerous, but I walk just fine. As such, I grabbed the snowshoes and headed to Wolverine Nordic Ski and Snowshoe trails and ended up doing five miles. Temps were tolerable at 9F and little wind. Good workout and not aggravating to the condition as skiing would have been. Fresh wolf tracks in the morning powder on the last part of the trail.
