Dried Apples

After a three year run, my dehydrator died last weekend. Dried fruit and beef jerky have been a staple, so it must be replaced. In the 30's at night and high 40's during the daytime, during the final stages of Fall. Our biggest buck so far is a seven pointer. A couple of fork horn, four pointers as well. Just finished watching a comical dialogue between a very large male Hairy Woodpecker, and a group of normally quite gregarious Black-Capped Chickadees. I think the little fellows prevailed.
