Abandoned UP Bar-M-28, East of Sidnaw

If you are a down-state leaf peeper, this weekend and the next will be prime for colors. They are early this year and rich. One of the better years for saturated color in the last five. Locals refer to summer in the U.P. as three months of bad sledding, and in fact, it is now becoming a memory. Archery (bow) season for White Tailed Deer opens next Wednesday. So far, it has been a productive Ruffed Grouse and Turkey season for me here in the Western U.P.
