After three weeks of minus 15 to minus 25F temps, this weekend was a balmy 30 degrees. Had a superb X-Country Ski outing at Wolverine Nordic Ski Area. With the higher temps, I was able to do the Cliff Hanger trail, which when icy, is hip replacement territory. My son will be up for a long weekend of skiing and ice fishing in later February, which is something to look forward to, as we are very close. Had my two grandsons up for four days during the holidays. The weather was brutal, so Papa had to find indoor things to do with them, but we did manage brief sled outings and some BB Gun target practice for Aiden, off the back porch. Months of the fourth season to go here in the Northwoods.
