These bottles were part of a larger cache of antique glassware, found on my daily walking route this summer. They were nestled in an abandoned wheelbarrow along the roadside. Downstate, they would have disappeared in minutes, due to their collectible status. Here, they remain, covered with weeds and windblown leaves for me to enjoy. Another advantage of living in a wilderness area where there is a deep history of mining and logging, as many artifacts remain much as they were originally discarded, abandoned, or lost.
